Litho Print Artist Book
Dec 2021, Lithography print on colored paper, acrylic wash, watercolored tracing paper, linocut stamp, glue
Through this book, I reimagine memories from my gap semester during the winter of Jan-Mar 2021. Using photos taken during this time, I used a repetitive additive and subtractive processes to achieve a slightly unintelligible look. This aims to capture the idea of trying to hold on to memories of the past as time moves on. 16 copies of this book exist, all but one distributed amongst classmates, friends, and family.

Process
Using inverted photos as a guide, drawing on velum with a water-soluble pencil to produce a negative
Covering the image in wax-based crayon
Washing the water-soluble pencil off to produce a positive (and retouching details)
Printing plate with ink on the printing press
